In recent years, attention has increasingly focused on issues such as youth crime & violence, substance abuse, gangs, kids aging out of the foster care system with no skills and no where to go, all of which add to declining academic performance and dropouts as well as various other issues associated with at-risk youth; common sense and many years of research suggest that at-risk youth and their families have multiple needs and those needs are not likely to be successfully addressed by single response, stand alone initiatives.
That is where W.I.L.D. Ministries comes in....
Our non-profit service organization was established under The Disciples of Faith, Inc. We are a non-denominational ministry dedicated to meeting the needs of at-risk young adults, ages 13-23. We believe in empowering these young adults through developmental intervention. By equipping them with both the attitudes and the skills they will need to be successful, therefore eliminating their at-risk status completely.
